How It Works

AVT The Gameplay Of Exercise

We did not build a gym. We did not design a class. We gave birth to a sport — where players and coaches work together, where effort, scoring and teamwork matters. The reason why we play the game is because its HARD.

what we believe

How our 5 values are incorporated into the game.

Balance &
Movement

The body is built to move. At different tempos and in every direction. Our programs train balance, mobility and strength together — not separately.

Human
Vitality

Vitality is not reserved for elite athletes. We believe it belongs to any person willing to earn it. Our mission is to Amplify Vitality.

Quality
Experiences

Every game feels like an event — players are coached, scored and celebrated. Showing up to play should be the best part of your day.

Truth &
Transparency

Numbers don't lie. Players are measured by stats; VA%, NRG, Reps Scored — Player progress can be proven by fact not just a feeling.

Utility &
Aesthetics

Behind all of our design elements is a scientifically proven game that produces results. Train for performance and the look takes care of itself.

The AVX Field

Our field layout features 30 numbered pods and a perimeter track. Each pod is assigned to one player for the entire game. No stations. No rotations. No waiting your turn.

AVT Hexagonal Field Layout
Single AVT Pod

One Pod
PER Player

Each pod is pre-loaded with all of the equipment a player needs for their personalized program. You walk in, find your pod, and play.

During rest intervals, players may leave their pod to run laps around the perimeter track — adding bonus points to their team's score.

45 Minutes
5 Phases

There are multiple AVT game formats spanning 45 – 90 minutes. Rounds are 8 minutes and every set is scored. Check out some of the elements that make up our game day experiences.

Warm Up

Warm-Up

Mobility, active stretching and optional cardio. Coaches review gameplans with players before the clock starts.

Conditioning

Conditioning

Run, Row, Spin or Jump Rope; The conditioning period is 5-15 minutes of heart pumping cardiovascular exercise before the Activation period of the game. Optional for 5:AM & 9:AM players, mandatory for the AVT Games competition.

Activation

Activation

The game clock starts. A constant-movement set fires the CNS and locks players into their pods before scoring begins.

Round 1

Round 1

Round 1. Every rep is a point. Players submit Volume Intensity Feedback after each set — Yellow, Green or Red.

Round 2

Round 2

Round 2. The scoreboard builds. Bonus sets unlock for players already on pace. Run laps during rest & earn team points.

Round 3

Round 3

Round 3. Fatigue enters the chat. Coaches check intensity feedback live and adjust resistance up or down on every pod.

Round 4

Round 4

Round 4. Every rep matters. Who is chasing 101%? Which team will earn the top score? This round could decide the game.

Round 5

Round 5

Round 5. The final round. After this scores are locked. The player and team that finishes strong usually wins the game.

Round 6

Round 6

Round 6. Reserved for the standard 52 minute version of the game. One more opportunity to score points, run laps and improve your VA%.

Finisher

The Finisher

Two minutes of everything left in the tank. This is each players personal round to finish strong. It isn't scored, its an active victory lap.

Winner

WINNER

Player score cards are submitted. VA% calculated. The MVP is announced. Winning Team revealed. Every player leaves with a scorecard.

ELITE Games

ELITE Games

ELITE players compete in Sport-Specific competitive mini-games that simulate sport-based sequences designed to develop in-game decision making, teamwork and awareness.

Refuel

Refuel

Fresh postgame smoothies are provided to start the recovery process. Choose from (6) different flavors when you book your next game.

Sauna

SAUNA

Game & Recovery players enter the Infrared Sauna where they accelerate the recovery process by increasing blood flow, reducing delayed onset muscle soreness and flushing out metabolic waste.

Cold Plunge

COLD PLUNGE

Game & Recovery players then progress to a personal cold tub that reduces their core body temperature and inflammation levels; These contrast therapy methods aid the body in speeding up the recovery process.

Three Metrics
One Winner

We track 3 numbers that tell the story of every game. Your effort in numbers. These 3 stats are how the MVP is decided, how players measure their progress and how coaches make adjustments in real time.

VA%

Volume Average Percentage

The Game-Winning Metric

VA% measures how much of your available output you actually delivered — adjusted to your training phase. Effort, not athleticism, decides the winner.

A player with a higher VA% beats a stronger player who held back. Every game.

Formula

Numerator Points Scored
÷
Denominator Available Points At 100%
(by training phase)
= Your VA%

NRG

Heart Rate Reserve

Your Energy Capacity

NRG is your version of Heart Rate Reserve — a metric used in medical practices to measure cardiovascular capacity.

The higher your NRG, the more energy you have available to spend in a game — and the further it grows over your 12-week season.

Formula

Active Max BPM at 91% VO₂max
Resting Heart Rate On Wake
= Your NRG

REPS

Reps Scored

The Raw Count

Every rep is logged. Every set is timed. Your training phase decides whether you play a T3 game (three target sets) or a T4 game (four target sets).

Finish all your reps in the allotted work time, submit the required Yellow feedbacks, and you unlock a Bonus Round. You cannot fake the count.

Bonus Round Qualifier

Your Phase T3 = Phases 1, 4, 5
T4 = Phases 2, 3
To Qualify Complete all reps in every set
+ submit Yellow feedback
(1 in a T3 game, 2 in a T4 game)
= Bonus Round Unlocked

Yellow
Green
Red

After every set you grade its difficulty with one of three signals. Your feedback automatically adjusts the next set — heavier, the same, or lighter. The system guarantees progress because it adapts to you in real time.

+1

Yellow

Too Easy → Add Load

Your set didn't challenge you enough. The system increases intensity or resistance for your next set.

Green

Just Right → Hold Steady

You hit the sweet spot. The next set stays at the same intensity to build volume.

−1

Red

Too Hard → Drop Load

The set pushed past your threshold. The system reduces resistance to keep you in the zone for growth.

Stabilization to Power

Every AVT game is built on a 5-phase periodization framework. Each phase trains a different physical adaptation, and players will progress through all five over the course of a 12-week season.

Phase 1

Stabilization

Foundational Strength-work — core control, time under tension, joint integrity, movement quality. This is where every player starts.

Phase 2

Strength
Endurance

Increased work capacity. Lower resistance, Higher reps, controlled tempo and sustained output from set to set.

Phase 3

Hypertrophy

Intensity climbs. Rest inerval plummets. This is the phase where muscles are built and the body starts to change.

Phase 4

Maximal
Strength

Heavier loads, fewer reps. The phase where players discover how much strength they actually have.

Phase 5

Power

Explosive output is the name of this phase. The goal is to reduce the time it takes to generate force under load.

90 Days
24 Games
One Story

A full AVT season runs 12 weeks. Two games per week. 24 games total. Every game is scored, tracked, and measured against your baseline. Every player is guided along a journey from Day 0 to Day 90 — including coach check-ins, nutrition guidance, recovery tips and awards.

Week 0

Baseline
Testing

Performance Readiness Assessment, Performance Evaluation, and program selection. Your baseline numbers are recorded.

Week 1

Day One-
Game One

This is where your 90 day journey begins. You're in the game, playing for a team and listening for cues from your Coach.

Week 4

First
Check-In

You now have 7 scorecards. Coaches review your VA% trend and adjust your program if needed.

Week 8

Mid-Season
Awards

Game 16. Leaderboard standings are published. Mid-season recognition for players climbing the ranks.

Week 12
